The government-funded agencies for child protection services in Ontario are called Children's Aid Societies (CAS). Each society is an independent, non-profit organization run by a board of directors elected from the local community. In this section of the website, we provide information on the laws and policies that relate to child protection, and the issues that arise when CAS workers investigate homeschooling families.
